If you are planning a trip to Dubai - one of the seven Emirates, Aquaventure is definitely a place to visit. Water parks are a great attraction for families as they offer overall entertainment to both adults and children. At the same time they are big a break from regular sight-seeing places allowing tourists an adventure-packed day. Aquaventure Dubai is a water park located on Palm Island and is one of the varied entertainment options provided by the Atlantis hotel. The entry fees are 200 AED for adults, 165 AED for children less than 1.2 m and free for children from 0-2 years of age. Guests of the Atlantis hotel have complimentary and unlimited access to the park.

Aquaventure is surrounded by palm trees that add a dash of color to the waterscape which makes up most of the park. Just as the water seems to go on for miles, the fun here is also never-ending. Considered to be one of the most daring water parks, Aquaventure has a mixture of exciting and leisure rides. Also, Aquaventure looks like a flourishing eco-system with an oasis-like outlay. The water park has a number of slides, river rides – both rash and relaxed as well as a play area for children.

Aquaventure Dubai is highlighted by the Ziggurat which stands right in the center of the water park. From here the most exciting slides make their way to the base. Water coasters rise up and take riders into this structure through tunnels. The most exciting factor of these rides is that 5 different species of sharks accompany you on your rides. The Leap of Faith is almost 30 meters in height and 61 m long and it carries guests from the top to the base into a lagoon filled with sharks. Yet another ride, Shark Attack involves guests to journey through the center of the Ziggurat through dark tunnels before making their way into a lagoon. The ride allows you to view sharks at a relaxed pace.

The other water slide at the Ziggurat includes The Plunge, Shamal, Falls, The Surge, Stinger and the Conveyor. River Rides has two options-The Rapids and Torrent River. The Rapids takes riders on a high with jet-speed water currents which twist and turn into tunnels and caverns. Torrent River carries guests on Aquaventure Dubai’s 600 meter long river through a beautiful setting of palm trees and other flora with one meter waves casually lapping at them.

For children, Splasher’s play area is the place to be. Parents can join their children for a water-fight with water jets and cannons. The water playground has tipping buckets that spin and release tons of water. Climbing frames and rope bridges make slides more exciting for children. When you have spent all your energy on the rides, Aquaventure Beach is the right place to rejuvenate yourself. It is a 700 meter long private beach facing the Arabian Gulf. Aquaventure Dubai also has a restaurant which offers refreshing food and beverages for families and other guests.
